What happens
Help Potomac Riverkeeper Network and Ward 8 Woods clear trash from Oxon Cove. Volunteers with their own kayaks clean from the water first (paddling optional), and everyone else works the shoreline after about a one mile walk down to the cove. Grabbers, gloves and bags are provided. Bring a friend or come solo and meet other river lovers.
Friday, November 20, 2026, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST. Park at the Oxon Cove Park and Oxon Hill Farm lot, 6411 Oxon Hill Rd, Oxon Hill; a shuttle runs down to the cove.
Free, register on Eventbrite. Boots and long pants recommended.
