For the first 30 minutes I was one of only 2 women; there were about 10 guys. By the end there were 5 women to about 20 men. For mixers, Jigsaw does absolutely no regulation of the men-to-women ratio. For women looking to talk to a lot of men in a low-pressure environment this can work; for men, pickings are slim unless you're very social.

I'd seen a ton of ads for Jigsaw events and comments about DC singles events often having a surplus of women, so I gave it a shot. The guy-to-girl ratio was probably 3 to 1 at best, and closer to 4 to 1 by the start. The lack of organization, the skewed gender ratio, and my general lack of interest did it for me. I don't plan on ever attending a Jigsaw event again.

My group of 9 went to a Jigsaw Singles Happy Hour for 40+. Don't waste your time and money. Gender imbalance: I counted around 5 men and 35 women. For an event labeled a singles mixer, that's a huge issue. Many other event companies manage this with gender caps or a waitlist system.
